Player lost connection and found bad pictures
« on: February 02, 2016, 12:03:07 PM »
We have the Media-DroidX. Network guy changed the access point to require password (WPA2). In the morning signs working okay (presumably using cached content) so I wait to change network settings.

2 hours later, coworker rushes in to tell me they turned it off because it was displaying something explicit. Having not seen the screen before it was turned off, I don't know exactly what it was displaying but I know nothing we put on it remotely resembles that.

We've had this happen before with network changes (though then what it found to display in the past wasn't that bad) and in all cases unplugging and replugging the power instantly solves the problem (it either reconnects to the wifi, or goes back to cached content). So I thought it an amusing bug not worth complaining about, but since we are a public library and it found adult material, it has been upgraded to a potential problem.

Your word filter was a real pain when trying to post this.

I would recommend the following steps:
1. change password on account
2. change password on device
3. clear cache on signageplayer
4. change pass on local wifi router and disable and possible proxies that anyone can tap to (man in the middle)

for sure the account is comprised (maybe a disgruntled employee?) and we so we are to help you resolve this asap,

please talk to live chat if you need help with ant of the above steps.

regards
