Mac Mini
« on: August 21, 2012, 12:37:46 PM »
I am just beginning my network and I would like to utilize the Mac Minis. Are others doing this? How are they working?

Thanks!

Nick

Get a mediaBOX, faster, support dual screen, plug n play, auto daily shut-off and more... AND you save about $100.00 a player.

I can buy many refurbished Mac Mini's for half of the cost of the mediaBOX which yes it is still used, but an appealing option. I had read somewhere on the forum that a new less expensive media box version was to come out in the near future? is this true?

I am outside USA, and in my case buying a mini mac is less expensive than importing the media box. I have read on one post that someone was using mac mini with windows 7 without problems. Could I set a player using Mac mini with windows 7 professional installed, and be able to remotely boot it, and use de USB tuner with the Live TV component?
Thanks!
