if you are getting the error

            if (!require.extensions.hasOwnProperty(ext)) {

the above error message usually appears on nodejs version 8 or later.  you can modify the file:

and replace the line: if (!require.extensions.hasOwnProperty(ext)) {
with: if (!, ext)) {

best regards

as i understand, you are using Android OS version 6 - what is the player software version used?

can you try this beta version of the android player:

Any other suggestions?

My OS is Ubuntu 16.04
Hi everyone,

I've seen the following bug occur across different Android boxes (6.0 and above are in use):

1) Create a catalog item which is a picture resource (either jpg or png). Assign this item to a category.
2) Create a new scene (Catalog MIME). Add a "catalog item" component and assign it the "resource" item.
3) Within one of the channels in a timeline, add a "catalog player" component and assign the previous scene. Assign the catalog player to work with the catalog.

So far this is standard. Expected behaviour would be that every "time interval" the catalog player would show a different picture. However the picture doesn't show at all. What is shown on the Android box are fields like "name", "info0" etc. but no picture resources.

The timeline preview shows that the catalog player plays the picture resource correctly.

Things I've tried to resolve this:

1) Resize the picture (resource) to be the same size as the screen divison for the timeline.
2) Resize picture (resource), screen division AND scene to be the same size.
3) Played with background/appearance settings for catalog player, catalog item (under the scene) and the scene itself.
4) Resetting and clearing the cache for the Android players.

Any ideas what could be causing this and how to resolve it?

I wonder why the hidden administrator is not included in advertisements for example. Or even in the Help window F1.

SignagePlayer / Re: Android Player Displaying NO-DEVICE INFO

android versions 8 and 9 does exhibit this behavior and a new player version that will address this issue will be released soon.

if you wish, you can test this beta version of the player for android devices.  in studio, it will still report Linux 4.x (kernel version) but the player will no longer show No Device Info.  here's the link to said beta player:

best regards

version 6.x.x does have issues when using multiple screens.  the devs are currently working on the fix for it.

for now, best to roll it back to a previous working version:
Version 5.0:
Version 6.2:

best regards

I have several setups consisting of a windows device with dual screen outputs driving 2 vertical 60 screens.  I have it setup as 2160x1920 with 2 screen divisions split right down the middle.  On the old signage player (6.2.22) everything was working great.  I tried to upgrade these to the new player and now the second screen will not display correctly... It seems to show up behind the primary left screen even though the divisions are correct.  It worked initially but then as soon as I rebooted the computer to make sure the watchdog would function correctly it would start doing the right screen behind the left screen thing.  Basically i can see a sliver of the screen but it won't properly fill the two screens as designated.    I went back to the old player, changed nothing else, and it works fine now.  Anyone else seeing this?  Is it a bug or is there something additional I need to do with the new player?  Thanks!!!

Hi, I have this Android TV Box T95 Max TV Box 4GB+ 32GB Android 8.1
I have installed Signage Player from but when the player starts up there is notification window saying NO DEVICE INFO and it stays on the screen.
Also on Signage Studio under station OS is showing as Linux 4.9.118 instead of Android.
Can anyone help me to bypass this NO DEVICE INFO popup or to disable it please?
