SignagePlayer / HTML is freezing displays
« on: June 29, 2013, 05:15:17 AM »
I am running multiple stations with a few different items on it. Each display has an HTML area, clock, current temp and a jpeg header. When I add a weather radar from a scene which is a HTML component my displays freeze. I also get adds from the webpages that pop up on my displays outside of the scene area.. I have tried using multiple different weather radar sites, all produce the same outcome.

I am using new computers: i3 3.30 ghz, 4gig of RAM and an nvidea GeForce GT 520 with 1 gig onboard memory. Windows 7 and IE for the browser.

Any help would be great!!

I have tried  multiple radars from different sites. They all make the display freeze after a couple hours.

Something else to add.

My timeline is 5 minutes long but runs 24 hours a day. Should I be making longer timelines?

Also reading some forums it seems like making multiple timelines to rotate between might also help. Any thoughts?

SignageStudio / Increasing font size in html5

Does anyone know if I can increase the font size in an HTML5 component. I am running screens in 1280x1024 and want to increase the font size of a webpage running in an html5 component. I don't want to reduce the resolution.

Intel core i3 3.30ghz, 2 gig ram and a GeForce gt430 w 1 gig. These are stand alone units that only run your player. I had the same problem with an older set of computers, thinking they were the problem I replaced them with these new units. I have IE installed as the browser. Would a different browser make a difference.

It seems like every time a add an HTML5 element that displays a weather radar in it I experience the freeze. My RSS feed still runs and the images work properly. The HTML elements are the only part being affected.

If I restart the computers they will run properly for a few hours and then experience the same problem.
