SignagePlayer / Re: Apache Web Server & HTML Weather

Has anyone else had this issue as described above?

Does everyone else's weather widget always work, or do you see it the pictures and temperature disappear too?

You can turn of the notifications with the following registry key.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
 "HideSCAHealth"=dword:00000001

Also, I had a very similar issue, but mine was caused by SWF files that were converted power points. Conversion software used was iSpring.

We to have made some adjustments, Here is what we do for ATI or Intel Video cards...

ATI Video Screen Settings
Open the ATI Control Panel
Go into Advanced Settings
From the Graphics Drop down Select Desktops & Displays
Now click the drop down arrow on the monitor and select Configure
Set over scan to 0% or move it up if needed.

Intel Video Screen Settings
Open the Intel Video Control Panel (must be local or connect via VNC)
Click Display
On the Display Settings Tab click Custom Aspect Ratio and adjust until it fits correctly.

SignagePlayer / Apache Web Server & HTML Weather
« on: September 21, 2016, 06:36:36 AM »
I am running an apache web server on my Windows 7 computer.
That has an HTML page using code form accuweather, which provides a nice background and weather elements.
Frequently this scene fails to display from the local web server, but when I log into SignageStudio and I check that scent it shows up fine, but yet the player shows a gradient background instead of the the image.  Can anyone provide assistance with this issue?

I have another channel that displays another HTML scene and that one has no issues and seems to always work.

Apache version: 2.4.23

Widget code:
<body>
<a href="http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/new-brighton-mn/55112/current-weather/338866" class="aw-widget-legal">
<!--
By accessing and/or using this code snippet, you agree to AccuWeather’s terms and conditions (in English) which can be found at http://www.accuweather.com/en/free-weather-widgets/terms and AccuWeather’s Privacy Statement (in English) which can be found at http://www.accuweather.com/en/privacy.
-->
</a><div id="awtd1466604540565" class="aw-widget-36hour"  data-locationkey="338866" data-unit="f" data-language="en-us" data-useip="false" data-uid="awtd1466604540565" data-editlocation="false"></div><script type="text/javascript" src="http://oap.accuweather.com/launch.js"></script>
</body>

In the past I used signagestudio weather widget but found that weather elements and even the weather at times would appear as -- or would be blank.

SignagePlayer / Re: Nasdaq stock ticker question
« on: January 04, 2012, 08:28:23 AM »
I found the fix... remove NAQ. I thought the DOW, ^IXIC, ^GSPC, ^TNX was telling the ticker to look at the DOW symbols.

I changed the entry to say GM, DRIV, etc and my NASDAQ stuff works fine. This can be closed, or removed.

SignagePlayer / Nasdaq stock ticker question
« on: January 04, 2012, 08:14:52 AM »
I am using the 'Stock Ticker' 170*90

I want use Nasdaq, so I changed it to NAQ, DRIV, GM
My symbols now work however, NAQ shows up blank.
How can I use Nasaq and now have the blank slide show up, or How do I get it to popluate?

Your video only show using DOW.
It had stated DOW, ^IXIC, ^GSPC, ^TNX, etc.

SignageStudio / Apache Web server - Playing files locally
« on: December 05, 2011, 05:39:45 AM »
I installed the apache sever from: http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi

In the URL I entered http://127.0.0.1/nameoffline.flv

Nothing plays... I just get a white frame

When I enter the URL from my computer  into IE  (http://10.10.x.x/nameoffline.flv) I get prompted to save the file to my computer.

Not sure what I am missing to get the file to play.

I have an FLV file... it plays much better than the MP4, but it plays clunky when streaming from the web. I guess I will try the external video playback.

I followed your video and downloaded supersetup.exe and converted to MP4....I don't seen an option there for flash video

I see the post on the limitation for file uploads, and I am wondering if is possible to load a 40MB wmv file on a usb stick and then get the media player to play this local file and then back to the presentation.

It's on order... I will update this post once I get it and set it up.

Well I got my new pc setup... It is a Jetway MINI-TOP 1.8Ghz Dual Core with 4GB Ram....

Scrolling is improved greatly for my RSS and the power point timing is much better, not dead on but images in the FLV that took 60 seconds to change now take 20.

I have an issue with 1920 * 1080 actually going off the screen, so I created a 1920 * 1200 resolution which seems to fit the windows desktop correctly. Not sure why that is happening, and plan on checking with JetWay or Nvidia on that one.

I am using the FIT-2PC (atom based 1GB only) running at 1920 * 1080.
I have 6 channels, the largest is for the SWF.

I installed the desktop player on my i7 laptop and the timing issue no longer occured. However, an i7 would seem to be bit of over kill to run a display.

I am looking at the Jetway Mini-Top Atom Dual-Core 525 Intel NM10 NVIDIA ION2 using ~4GB ram (32bit os limit).

Any recommendations?
