General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / Custom RSS Component Naming
« on: September 10, 2011, 05:19:39 AM »
Is there any way to change the name of a custom RSS component in  a channel so that you can distinguish one from another so you know which is which.  For example, if I have a custom one showing CNN sports and another playing CNN entertainment.  It would be nice to see that somehow in the channel when ordering them.  Is this possible?

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / Content Update Screen
« on: September 10, 2011, 05:10:53 AM »
I notice that when updating content to a player there is a media image that appears that shows that indicates that the signage will resume shortly.  Is there any way to change the branding on that so that is reflects my business and not your website?

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / Adding Graphical Shapes to Scene
« on: September 10, 2011, 05:09:01 AM »
Is there a way to add graphic shapes (lines, boxes, circles, etc.) when building a scene.  I specifically want to add some vertical lines and would rather do it in your software then putting in a jpeg.  What do you suggest?

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / Resource Name Information
« on: September 10, 2011, 04:38:14 AM »
Is there a way to get the full name of a resource once in has been put into a channel in a campaign.  I have several different formats of a video (mov, mp4, etc.)  How can I tell which one is being used.  When I double click on resource, it just plays the video.  Is there someplace that shows the full name of the resource so I know exactly which resource is being used?

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / Playback Errors
« on: September 10, 2011, 04:35:58 AM »
I was just monitoring the playback of one of my players and the content froze.  An error message came on the screen indicating a problem withe the software and within 60 seconds, the software relaunched and continued playing.  Very cool.  I like that.  However, is there any reporting to let me know that this event happened so I can have a better sense of performance and what is happening in the field when I am not there?  Also, what would have happened if it lost it's internet connection or the PC crashed.  Is there anything to handle those situations, track them, and notify me?

I have a sequence of 12 second MP4 advertisements playing in a channel.  There seems to be cross fades happening between each ad.  I have looked everywhere to see where this is being set and can't find it anywhere.  How can I just have cuts between each resource?

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / How to hid taskbar
« on: September 10, 2011, 04:24:06 AM »
I am using your desktop (air) player on a dedicated computer running windows 7.  For some reason the taskbar is appearing on top of the digital signage.  How can I prevent this from happening?

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / Power On/Off

Is there a way to have the display go to stand by mode with your software so that it is not playing content when the business is closed?

SignageStudio / Player Monitoring

So far I am really liking your software.  I am using another solution right now and looking for a better alternative.  The biggest issue I am having with the software I am currently using is not knowing when the player isn't operating properly.  There is always the possibility of something going wrong.  Do you have any watchdog functionality that makes sure everything is working properly and if it isn't, knows to either restart the software or reboot the computer.  Do you have such a feature?
