1. Oh, I see what you were referring to. Sorry, yes, I did click File > Save/Upload and it didn't do anything.
2. What's the link to download the desktop software?  How do users know when the web studio is back up?

When viewing Resources in the left-hand column, I clicked the "+" button, selected "From Local" in the drop down, navigated the file explorer pop-up to my file, clicked "Open".  At that point, my file showed up in the list resources, but with zeros (0) marked in the fields for width, height, andtotal bytes.

I don't find a Save/Upload button.

Possibly important info, I'm using Google Chrome version 80.0.3987.106 and Signage Studio online version 6.2.22.

SignageStudio / Google Drive Component Disapeared

Greetings,

We have a Campaign/Timeline that uses two separate outputs each linking to two separate Google Drive files (via Google Drive components).  The other day, in trying to fix a different problem, we updated all our signs (Windows & Signage Studio) and now the spots where these two components would normally appear are just blank.

After watching the Google Drive Component video tutorial, I re-generated a new 'Token' in case that was it.  This didn't fix it.

We're running Windows 10.0.18362 on both the digital signs and on the computers where we do our Signage Studio work.  Also, our digital signs are all up-to-date and running Signage Studio Version 6.4.3 and airVersion 28.0.0.125.

Does anyone have an idea what we should try next?

SignageStudio / Resources Not Loading "From local"

Please help!

We're having issues with this and I don't know how to proceed.  We aren't able to upload Resources to Signage Studio online using the "From local" option listed under the "+" button on the left-hand side of the screen.  When we try uploading a Resource, the resource properties show the "Total Time", "Width", "Height", & "Total bytes" as zero (0) and I can't see any preview.  When a different company who has off-site access to our account logged into it and uploaded the exact same file, Signage Studio worked correctly and the Resource's properties showed numbers in the "Total Time", "Width", "Height", & "Total bytes" fields.  I can see a preview of their Resource.

When I tried playing my resource in the timeline, it inserts a blank space in the timeline.  When I tried playing the resource uploaded by this other company, it plays normally.

Troubleshooting Steps We've Tried So Far:

  • We have tried uploading files from different computers.
  • We have tried uploading different file sizes (128 KB - 600 KB.
  • We have tried uploading different file types (.jpg & .png).
  • We have tried uploading files with spaces in the file name and once without spaces.
  • We have tried changing the file name before uploading by adding a random letter to the end.
  • We have tried uploading multiple different files.

Thanks for responding.  The video we're trying to play is approximately 45 seconds long and the video file is 46,066 KB in size.

According to the "Stations" module in Signage Studio, all screens are...

  • OS: Windows 10.
  • Version: 5.0.81
  • Airversion 20.0.0.233

SignageStudio / MP4 Video NOT loading to just 1 of 7 screens

Help!

We have seven (7) digital signage screens scattered around our building.  We have a scene that was created using Scene Editor which has a .mp4 video resource in it.  The scene played just fine on six (6) of the digital signage screens, eventually.  For several of them, it took a restart for the video to actually show up.

However, one (1) of the screens is still not showing up.  It just shows as a blank portion of the scene.  Here's what I've done so far.

  • Did File>Save/Upload several times.
  • Did File>Save/Upload and selected "Cache resource before play."
  • Rebooted the screen from Stations.

What else should I do to troubleshoot?

I see that when I add the Component for Google Calendar to the Timeline, it has a "Filters" section with three columns (Event, Condition, Field).  When I click the plus symbol, it adds "==" to the Condition column.

How does this filter work?  Is there any documentation?  Is this what you mean when you say "it can only do filtering in 'days'"?

New features and suggestions / Display Campaign Alphabetical Order

Please consider displaying lists of things like Campaigns, Stations, Resources, Scene Editor, etc. in alphabetical order.  Having them in some random order (last created?) just adds to the perceived complexity of the software.  It also makes it harder for new users to learn the software.

As an example, here are the names of our Campaigns and the order in which they are displayed.

- Cmpgn - Primary
- Sandbox
- Cmpgn - Adm.
- Cmpgn - Secondary
- Cmpgn - Adm. - RSS
- 3Div Cmpgn - Primary
- 3Div Cmpgn - Secondar

SignageStudio / Google Calendar - Limiting Display by Time/Date.

Greetings,

We're running signage studio 6.2.22.  We're using a Google Calendar component and have it linked to show only the calendar appointments that occur that day.  It doesn't show the appointments for the day before or the day after.

Our question:  Is there a way to set it up so that it doesn't display calendar appointments that have occurred in the past.  For example, if my calendar appointment is from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, and the current time is 10:20 am, I want the calendar appointment to appear on our sign.  If the current time is 11:00 am, I want the calendar appointment to not show up on our sign.

P.S. Our calendar appointment is at the top of the screen in this image.  Sorry for the size of the image, I don't know how to make it smaller on this forum.

All of our signs are using version 5.0.81.

Not all of the screen divisions are using images. For one in particular, it is a scene that uses a JSON component that pulls from a Google Calendar.

There wasn't an option to enable "Use GPU" when double clicking on any item (image or otherwise).

  • Can you explain more about how to find the "Use GPU" option?
  • Do we need to update the version on our signs?

Our screens are split up into different sections, and we have specific transitions for each one (different from overall campaign).

When we view the campaign on the desktop in preview mode, the transitions are there and work correctly. However, when we assign the campaign to the actual screen, the transitions no longer show up. Instead it's just this abrupt change from slide to slide.

Anybody else having this issue or know how to resolve it? Hopefully it's just a simple setting that was left unchecked?

We confirm that changing the icons from Black to Color (and White) did change the weather reported.  The temperature is still not accurate for our area (+/- 4 degrees) , but it's closer.
