SignagePlayer / Rss content starts playing before time
« on: August 22, 2011, 12:10:32 PM »
Hi, i've setup a timeline with a flv video on the background that plays for 50'', it's a news vinhet that has a intro of 5'', after the intro the news rss should start playing on a diferent channel, i've also put a clock that starts with the news rss. However, they are starting when the video starts, but on the timeline they're setup to start 5'' after, what could be the problem?

SignagePlayer / FLV video not displaying
« on: February 04, 2011, 11:21:58 AM »
Hi, i'm running the player on Ubuntu 10.10 with airVersion 2.5.1.17730 and Version 2.2.1088. Everything is ok, i play images, quictime movie .mov, but when i add a FLV video it doesn't play the screen just goes black, is there a reason for this? The file is a FLV video with 1280x720 1000kbps, i don't see why it shouldn't play...

Report bugs and errors / Re: power management erro linux
« on: January 19, 2011, 02:37:45 PM »
Hi. earlier today I talked with david and we setup a teamviewer session to try and solve the problem, but no sucess there, he told me that the comand line used to shutdown is "sudo shutdown now" and when i typed that in the terminal nothing was happening. So i reinstalled the os ubuntu 10.10 and before i did anything, instaling the player or whatever, i made some test with the terminal, when I typed "sudo shutdown now" it started shuting down but it froze on the ubuntu logo, so i tried "sudo poweroff" and it shutdown perfectly, I went ahead and tryed this command "sudo shutdown -h now" and it shut down perfectly, "sudo shutdown -P now" and it shut down perfectly, so i was wondering if with the new 10.10 version there has been a change, and maybe there needs to be an update with the command on the signage controller/player?

Report bugs and errors / power management erro linux

Hi.
I'm runnin the player version 2.2.1088 and airversion 2.5.1.17730, when I setup a station to shutdown at a specific time the player starts to shutdown and everything but during the shuting down process it stops and goes to the recovery menu of ubuntu 10.10 and stays there and i have to manualy press the power button so it can shutdown, I reboted the pc and when into terminal and typed "sudo poweroff" and it shutsdown the pc perfectly, no problem, so could this be an erro with the code that the player/controller is using to shutdown the system?

SignagePlayer / SignageController not running Ubuntu 10.10
« on: November 27, 2010, 07:24:49 PM »
Hi i followed the tutorial on instaling the player on linux but i'm having some problems trying to run signage controller. When i boot the computer xterm open and apears to start SignageController because it changes the nama on top from xterm to SignageController, some messages pop up like "SignageController: no process found" and after a few seconds the terminal seems to close and SignagePlayer pops up and start's to load, in the mai menu it says that it's connected but the signagecontroller is not runing.

I've tried to take a look at the startup aplication and SignageStartup is there with the "signageStartup.sh"

Does anyone know what might be the problem, why signagecontroller is not running?

Tks
