web studio does not indeed use persistent storage to save menu settings.  such feature is on the desktop studio

we will however forward this request to our dev team for evaluation

you are correct - studio pro does not use the EXIF metadata.  as a workaround, what you can do is you can use tools like IrfanView to rotate the image to its proper orientation and do a Save As and remove the EXIF tag. after, you can then upload the image with the correct orientation

for distribution, run either:
- npm run release_aot
- npm run release_aot_no_sync
- npm run release_jit

either of the 3 will generate the the distribution folder ./dist where all the files you need for distribution will be placed.

note that the script assumes you are running this in unix/linux therefore are using unix commands.  if you are running this in windows, you may need to convert the script to use DOS commands

if you are getting the error

Quote
/var/www/vhosts/localhost.localdomain/httpdocs/test-studio/studio-lite/node_modules/require-dir/index.js:93
            if (!require.extensions.hasOwnProperty(ext)) {
                                    ^

the above error message usually appears on nodejs version 8 or later.  you can modify the file:
/var/www/vhosts/localhost.localdomain/httpdocs/test-studio/studio-lite/node_modules/require-dir/index.js

and replace the line: if (!require.extensions.hasOwnProperty(ext)) {
with: if (!Object.prototype.hasOwnProperty.call(require.extensions, ext)) {

SignagePlayer / Re: Android Player Displaying NO-DEVICE INFO
« on: June 03, 2019, 07:18:41 PM »
android versions 8 and 9 does exhibit this behavior and a new player version that will address this issue will be released soon.

if you wish, you can test this beta version of the player for android devices.  in studio, it will still report Linux 4.x (kernel version) but the player will no longer show No Device Info.  here's the link to said beta player: http://galaxy.signage.me/Code/Install/apk/6.3/CloudSignagePlayer.apk

version 6.x.x does have issues when using multiple screens.  the devs are currently working on the fix for it.

for now, best to roll it back to a previous working version:
Version 5.0: http://galaxy.signage.me/Code/install/exe/5.0/CloudSignagePlayerSetup.exe
Version 6.2: http://galaxy.signage.me/Code/install/exe/6.2/CloudSignagePlayerSetup.exe

as mentioned, we will no longer supporting SWF based component as Flash will soon be discontinued.  your alternative is to use HTML based clocks.

the current implementation does not support such filtering.  it can only do filtering in "days" but we may probably have other filtering in the future

in the case of transitions, Use GPU option tells the player to use the hardware gpu for surface texture processing.  if enabled, the GPU "cuts out" areas on the image where transition is occuring.  where exactly is the image? is it on the scene behind the JSON items ?

it may be best if you could join us on chat so that the support personnel can take a look at the campaign setup.

are you referring to the transition pool? or the soft transition that is the default of all players? also what player device are you using?

if you are using player version prior to version 6, you are using transition pool and your items with transition has a background image, double click on said image and enable Use GPU.

best regards
