General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / PowerPoint not running
« on: June 30, 2010, 12:13:07 AM »

In your "Feature and bug release" you have written, that PowerPoint should run in SignageStudio. I made several tries but could make it work:

The PowerPoint files are loaded successfully, but the preview doesn't show anything except for the fully loaded sign. I tried with .ppt and .pps with an autmatically run as well as pptx and ppts (the new data-format for ms-office).

Do I make anything wrong or is there a bug?

Kind regards

Alexander

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / RTMP Streaming Bug
« on: May 27, 2010, 07:27:07 AM »
We are using a WOWZA Streamingserver and playing an RTMP stream. In the Signage Studio and Player the video is playing the same audio signal two times and asyncron. If we stopped the playing video one audio signal is still running.

We use an 720p MOV (mp4) file. If we play the stream with other software anything is ok.

Another problem is that the component "external video" shows in nine of ten tries only the player propertie and the other properties like url are not shown.

Please help

There's Adobe Air Beta Version released which supports H.264... Does the Signage AIR Player supports this version?

SignageStudio / Using external SWF-Files
« on: March 19, 2010, 03:58:42 AM »
Dear admins.

We want to use external SWF in our Signage-Presentations. Unfortunately it doesn't work out with some files. The files can be called by a browser but not by mediasignage. Here's an example for this case (don't mind the content - it's just a simple sample file):

http://wwwu.uni-klu.ac.at/hmaier/Balance.swf

And another SWF - which was exported by Flypaper (a software to create simply flash-based slideshows):
http://content.flypaper.net/5DE157E2-34E1-4D48-977A-5C952A06400C/preview.aspx

Maybe you could tell me, how we can display objects like this without using the component "html".

Thank you very much.

SignageStudio / Copy Timelines in another Campaign
« on: March 15, 2010, 01:39:26 AM »
Hi everybody.

Currently we are using the sequencer to manage our timelines. We started this because it seemed to be easier to handle a small number of timelines than with the scheduler. Now that we have more content to show and our tasks become more difficult, we want to switch to the scheduler.

Here are just a few questions concerning the scheduler:
> is it possible to copy existing timelines from one campaign (sequencer) to another (scheduler)?
> is there a function which allows you to export and import timelines or save timelines locally?
> I know that the scheduler allows you set a timeline as "daily". Does it allow you to set an intervall for a timeline (play every 10 Minutes / every hour / every two hours etc.)? Could be quite usefull if you have many different and short timelines.

Thanks a lot.

Report bugs and errors / SWF doesn't play XML-Content from Server
« on: January 31, 2010, 11:33:28 PM »
Hi everybody.

We're trying to receive XML-based information located on our server with the help of an SWF-File. The thing is, that it works out as long as we run it locally from our computer (iMac 2009). As soon as we upload it to Signage Studio and play it with the AirPlayer it doesn't receive the information. The strange thing is, that it runs on the player preview. We already installed a crossdomain.xml on our server, which allows every of your domains to receive the information.

After installing the Flash-Debugger and a debugger in our flash-file following Security-Error occurs:
Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: XXXX.swf cannot load data from host XXXX.

Do you know what to do?
