One great solution we've been using to allow users to easily edit and update templated content for signage studio is through the use of Google Slides.
Here's an example of a simple slideshow that I schedule from the web. (only crummy thing, it's limited to a 4:3 aspect ration at the moment).

Anyhoo, one thing that's bothering me at the moment - this slideshow presents perfectly in all browsers without issue. In SignageStudio however (and SignagePlayer), the slideshow doesn't render the text properly (it looks like a fuzzy, rasterized image). Transitions don't occur, rather it just switches between slides, and animations don't work.

If the HTML5 component truly supports HTML5 and javascript, could there be a solution for this? Using Google Docs as a centralized repository will make things very easy for our rollout at our University. Hopefully someone has a solution.

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / MediaRSS - TEDTalks
« on: September 10, 2012, 05:39:17 PM »
Hello!
We've been using signagestudio for well over a year now, and one of our staple online content pieces, TEDTalks, suddenly no longer displays within signage studio, or as part of SignagePlayer.

The link to the MediaRSS is here:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/TedtalksHD

The address has not changed, and as far as I can tell, the format has been the same for over a year: any thoughts on getting this to work properly again?

The HTML Component is great, we use it for just about everything. I'd like to see the ability to set a zoom level for the component so webpage content (particularly text) can be rendered larger on 1080p monitors.
