SignageStudio / Trip Advisor Widget in SignageStudio and Player
« on: June 16, 2011, 05:32:51 AM »
Good Morning,

I am trying to create a scene that contains a TripAdvisor Widget.  I created a dedicated html file for the widget and added an html component to my scene.

Unfortunately the rendering in the html component in MediaSignage differs from the same page loaded in the browser.  Attached are screen shots of the rendering in Chrome and Signage Studio.

Below is the complete code of the html file and widget.

Is there anything I can do, to get Signage Studio to render this properly?

Widget Code from Trip Advisor

SignagePlayer / Cache-Control for External HTML resources
« on: March 29, 2011, 04:58:57 AM »
Does the signage player respect HTTP cache control headers from webservers?  (eg.  Cache-Control, Expires)

Good Morning,

I am using a scene with a  custom RSS  component to display the contents from a PicasaWeb feed
The Picasa Album is: https://picasaweb.google.com/OttawaTourismPhotos/OttawaTourismPhotos#

I chose customRSS over mediaRSS component because it allowed me to display the title of the photo and the image.  (I couldn't find a means to display the title from the RSS feed in the mediaRSS Component).

Unfortunately, some image are stretched as the aspect ration of the resource image is not respected.  Could the option to respect the aspect ratio be added to the custom RSS resource field?   Or, is there a way to display the title and resource with the mediaRSS

This scene should help show what I am am trying to achieve and if you watch long  enough some stretched images should go by.
