Any NEWS on the APPLE-TV Application?
    We are all missing a ton of screens connected to Apple-TV boxes that could be used.
Please update us on your progress.

P.S. I can also be a "TEST BED" with an entire school connected with Apple-TV boxes if necessary for some BETA testing.

I believe I have found a BUG in the Google Drive component & It is stopping me from achieving my goal for a client.
Goal is - Google Drive list of image files on the left of screen (File names only), when an item from list is selected, that image is "Loaded" or displayed on the right of the screen. Pretty simple....but it is not working.
Here is the setup:
Make a large full screen scene, and use the Google component to display a "LIST" view of a directory down the entire LEFT 1/3 of screen
This will display only the "NAMES" of the files.
This will be used for selecting the desires item from the list view & sending a "$selectedItem" event to the JSON Viewer in the next step

Add in the "JSON Viewer" in that same scene to the right of the list
Have this receive the "NAMES" event
IF....you make the viewer show the NAME of the file that is selected on the left....all works properly & the selected name on the left shows up. on the right.
Now....If you change that viewer to the OBJECT (Meaning image) instead of the name.....nothing shows up on the right when selected.
However we know it's getting the command, as we can see it work with the file names.
I have tried many different parameters for the send & receive events as well as the Event Provider (id, name, object, image, file, weblink, linkview, and more)
Obviously the file name is referred to as "NAME" or "TITLE" as both of those work when sent & received.
I'm not sure what the "IMAGE FILE" is referred to on the back end of the Google Drive component on your system, that may be the glitch to this.

if you REVERSE all of this & make a LIST of the IMAGES themselves down the left of the screen (Meaning you see all the images in list view)
and then the  Viewer on the Right snows the NAMES or TITLES of the files when selected - it works!!!
so......I need some help on this, Please advise.

New features and suggestions / JSON Component - as a LIST - cannot change default WHITE background

The JSON component when used as a LIST does not have a transparent background OR adjustable background at all.

If you insert the JSON component into your timeline & use it as MANUAL, SLIDE SHOW, or CAROUSEL it has a transparent background & you can see through to your other layers. (This is good!)
If you use it as a LIST, it gets a default WHITE background that is not adjustable in any way.

At minimum it would be beneficial to adjust the color of the background to your list.

New features and suggestions / World Weather - Current Conditions

Since the change over to "WORLD WEATHER" component....the "Current Condition" has been removed (Hidden really).
Our customers like seeing the current condition such as "Windy" "Humid", "Sleet with a chance of Snow", etc....
Can you please add that back into the drop down selection?
You can currently ADD it manually if you type the following into the field path

$[0].data.current_condition[0].swfCode.descXml

That being said the data is there....just not accessible.

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / Video On Demand - Interactive list

I need a way to create a Video On Demand list.
The user can select a video - it will then play that video to completion (All videos will vary in length)  - and return to the list.
The database of videos will be added to & will be a GROWING list of videos as time progresses.

If anyone out there has done this please share some brain power for me....I'm stumped on this one.

General discussion on the mediaCLOUD / NEED Google Drive Help

Greetings everyone,
    I need some expert assistance.
I have a potential client that has a lot of videos that need to be viewed by their employees in their break rooms.
There will be a Digital Signage Player IN the break room with a mouse or other pointing device available.
These videos need to be presented in LIST form, and when selected play that video to completion & return to the list.
>>> The catch to all of this is that I would like to utilize Google Drive for the storage & retrieval of these videos (Or any other Cloud based storage).
They have somewhere in the range of 400-500GB of videos. (I know that's crazy, but this is what their request is)
That is also why I can't host the videos directly WITHIN the Signage Studio Cloud - there is a hard 25GB limit per enterprise account.

I have tried Json scripting with scenes & linking the Google Drive but no luck...I'm at a roadblock & could use some more seasoned assistance.
Hopefully someone else out there has done this with Google Drive and can share how to do it.

Every since the release of v6.XX I have been getting the following errors on my Signage Players.
These are not all the same devices & not all running the same campaigns.
If I roll back to V5.0.106 all is good and stable.

I am finding in the new v5.0.16 Studio (Installed on PC) I cannot change the font size on any item other than what is listed in the drop down menu.
If you try to type in a font size it won't allow it. Switching over to the "WEB" version of the studio (v4.34.7) allows you to type in any font size.

Another issue within the Studio: When making a "thumbnail" of a video, the system will not calculate the proper length of the video. Always comes up "0".
Really wish you didn't have to create a thumbnail in the first place - this is always a frustrating thing to get across to new users/clients.
Thumbnails & video length should be automated upon upload of content.

In the v5 Signage Player (On PC & Android) If you have a video that is NOT the same size as your division- and have that video's check box selected to "Maintain aspect Ratio" the video plays pushed to the "LEFT" side of the screen division instead of centering itself within the division. This is not a favorable display. In previous versions this was made to "CENTER" itself within the division while maintaining it's aspect ratio.

The catalog component is very handy...but need some simple organization tools.
Once you enter resources, you can't reorganize them, they are stuck in the order as they were entered.

I hope there are some future planed upgrades for this.

New features and suggestions / More than 1 AD division (AREA) on a campaign.

I have a need for multiple divisions in a campaign to have AD space.
However these AD spaces need to be governed with different content.

Example: 1 campaign with a screen layout that has 2 divisions.
   both areas have advertising content, both areas are NOT the same dimensions.
   #1 area/division plays TV commercials/videos
   #2 area/division plays SWF's or Images

As it stands now, I can have both divisions be advertising areas, however I cannot designate to which area get's what content.
((Not usable for multi-division control))

I think there needs to be a designation for more advanced advertising to allow a selection of division on a given station.
And each selectable divisions can have it's own designation (Possibly a "sub-station" channel)

Anyone else have any thoughts??
