there are two softwares needed: Signage Studio and Signage Player

Signage Studio is where you are going to create and update your presentation. when you save, its uploaded to our server while Signage Player is the software that is to be installed on your device (if you got the device from us, its already preloaded).

if the intent is to create and upload the presentation, what you need is the Signage Studio software.  the website redirects you to a certain "download" page only if you are trying to log into Studio with a Pro account from the browser - if you are trying to use this, you will need to enable Flash on your browser.

currently, web version of studio does not save properly, so it would be best to download desktop software instead.
if you are using Windows, download and install Studio from : http://galaxy.signage.me/Code/install/exe/CloudSignageStudioSetup.exe
if you are using Mac, download and install Studio from: https://www.digitalsignage.com/downloads/StudioProMacSigned.pkg

So far I also have not been able to remove them.
Values just above 43200 and also in the 96000 (if I recall correctly), just gives them a grey x when trying to delete, but they never go from the list...
The stations haven't been used for weeks now and also waited after the reset counter (to hit 0) for 23 hours... no luck.

are you on enterprise subscription? is the Delete privilege turned on for the user? if you are still having this issue, please join us on chat so this issue so we can troubleshoot this further as we cannot ask for your login credentials on this forum

SignageStudio / Re: Modify JSON data
« on: September 17, 2020, 02:31:08 PM »
unfortunately, you cannot do filtering by date/time.  it does have filtering but only with text. even with text, you may get an erroneous on some dates

we assume that you are uploading the JSON file on some webserver - can the webserver run server side script and return JSON ?  if so, what you can do is to do filtering using the server's date/time so when the player pulls the data, it will only pull only with birthdays for the day. that said, you can simply create the original JSON file containing all birthdays for the month since the script will only return the day's celebrants.

Open source Digital Signage / Re: Open source Digital Signage
« on: September 16, 2020, 11:41:21 PM »
I want to create a reseller where the user/customer can add their screens and add the schedule that will display on each screen.

So that the administrator can control the number of screens the customer can use, and can also control the disk space he will use

My question is does the open source solution provide everything i need for this?

What are the usage limits for open source?

open source code is available to enterprise subscribers the purpose of which is to allow them to customize the front end interface that the customers can log in into - the webservices and database are still on our cloud server.

visibility, access permission, privileges, number of stations limits are all managed in the enterprise studio - so if the intent is just to manage those, there is no need to use the open source code rather you just need to subscribe to enterprise

the post you have read refers to may be a different issue.

as a security feature, you can only delete stations that had not been used for at least 12hrs and Last Update column in Studio's Stations show the value 43200 or higher.  note that said counter resets every 25 to 26 hours so it can go back to 0 again.

note also that you can have stations with the same name - the one with the higher Station ID number will be the later/latest station you've regiistered.

Open source Digital Signage / Re: Open source Digital Signage
« on: September 09, 2020, 04:00:49 PM »
What does the above statement actually mean? So your saying the opensource version is not meant to be used to manage signs and is only meant for development of the actually interface?

So the licensing does not permit managing sign player from the Open Source version? I thought the OpenSource Version was actually the same as the Media Server/Cloud just for use in your environment.

Thank you,
Kyle

Tercio intent was to use it within his intranet but note that the open source code is for customizing the frontend interface for use with our cloud servers and does not include the database and all the webservices to run this platform therefore it will not be enough to simply use the open source code.

speaking of "licensing", note that the open source codes can be used freely by our cloud enterprise subscribers only

SignagePlayer / Re: Raspberry 4 (4GB or 8GB) support
« on: August 31, 2020, 03:35:53 PM »
Linux nor WIndows IoT is not currently supported. we did test using the experimental Windows on ARM version on Raspberry 4 but video does not work using version 6 player. on version 5, both images and video work but the video is very choppy.

the "analytics" report we is part of our reporting module in our mediaAdNet module. the feature you want is called Scene Ads where the idea is to embed an Ad Asset into a Scene which is triggered when interacted. for more details, please refer to http://s3.signage.me/business1000/resources/adnet_scene_assets.mp4

each style are separate and for those whose styles do not work on the player means there is no file for said style.

the open source codes are actually for customizing the front end interface. if the intent is to use it within your network, you would need our on premise product which is our mediaServer. may we refer you to our mediaServer product page: https://www.digitalsignage.com/_html/mediaserver.html

it would be easier to use your localhost's webserver during development and there is no easier way to deploy this since you need to adjust your code accordingly.

you would need to adjust the source code to reflect the paths of your libraries. if you look into the source codes init.js, index.html and loading.html, they are all assuming the javascript and css libraries are all found relatively from the root folder.

unfortunately, there is no easier way to simply run it as the open source code was meant for more experienced developers.
