Title: Statis RSS Feeds
Post by: dougt on April 26, 2014, 07:01:38 AM
Is there a way to have static RSS feeds with no scrolling at all? It would be nice if there was say one story static then next time around in the timeline another story came up. Not everything should evolve around a scroll

Cheers

Doug

There is a custom rss reader. With that component it is possible to display static stories with it's pictures.

I would look at the Catalog Component or the XML Component to create that kind of static content.
With the XML Component you could even have static content that could be changed from outside of the Signage Studio if you have something that could update the XML file.

I've build a Windows Service that periodically pulls information from a large MSSQL database and format it and output it to an XML file that is read by a Signage Player.
