Title: Digital Signage player for buses
Post by: rasco22862 on June 02, 2013, 03:48:06 PM
Hi,

I have been reading a lot about digital signage players, but I still don't know which would be the best signage player for a bus. I want to show Local Based Content so I would need 3G+GPS connectivity. I was wondering if one of those Android mini PC like the MK808 could be conected to a 3G dongle and GPS dongle maybe.

What could be the best (, smallest and cheapest) solution for digital signage on buses?

Thanks.

I do not think 3G + GPS will work on MK808

No not by itself.
You will need to purchase a portable 3G Wifi wireless router and connect your 3G dongle to it.
The MK808 will find the wifi signal from the router. You can also use the USB port to power both the router and the dongle.
