Title: Windows 8 compatible???
Post by: criley on May 06, 2013, 02:45:14 PM
I am curious to hear if anyone has had any success with using Windows 8 with their system. I will probably be getting a copy of the OS soon to test and I would love to hear the pros and cons that folks have been using with this particular OS. Also, Admin, if you could comment as well, that would be great. I know that you will always support Windows OS, but do you currently support and recommend Windows 8 or are we still in the testing phase? Thanks.

Chris

Works pretty well on our tests....

To remove metro UI on windows 8, download and install
http://winaero.com/download.php?view.33

to add the signage controller on the startup,

press the windows button + R,  on the run command type %appdata%, and then open
Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > Programs > Startup

Then create a shortcut of the Signage controller.exe on that folder.

The Signage Controller can be found here:

c:\Program Files\SignagePlayer\win32\SignageController.exe.
