Post by: actnowguy on November 22, 2012, 06:44:33 PM
I have read the posts and guides for optimizing for using windows seven...
Code: [Select]

but most the guide is for xp....is there a definitive way to optimize seven so it plays as close as possible to the media box 100?

Windows 7 are using digital signs to improve interaction. Right now, digital signage can only offer a limited degree of interactivity, as the viewer must physically touch the sign. But by combining digital signage with Windows 7 and mobile phones as well.

While the tweaks in the page you linked to are mainly for windows XP, you can easily find similar registry-tweaks if you google the title of the .reg file + windows 7. A quick example: "Windows 7 enableballoontips 0" yields  https://www.google.com/search?q=Windows+7+enableballoontips+0&oq=Windows+7+enableballoontips+0&sugexp=chrome,mod=15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 (https://www.google.com/search?q=Windows+7+enableballoontips+0&oq=Windows+7+enableballoontips+0&sugexp=chrome,mod=15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8)

There's a link to "Taskbar Eliminator" on your page as well. That works with 7 as well.
