Added a Video Podcast in the scene.
For some reason every single time the player is opened, I see the same video, it does not seem to be updating.
Although the Podcast video does update twice a day.
If I unregister the player, remove the player and adobe air, and then reinstall, then it seems to pick the updated video, but to have it updated again I have to uninstall the player and adobe air, and then reinstall everything. I think there must be a better workaround than this.
May be I am doing something wrong.
I am almost positive that the player does not clear the cache, because the video does play even if I am offline (provided it has been played atleast once before while I was online).
Please Help !

You are correct. This is our bug which we will fix as soon as we release our huge release of 1.5 which is due in 1-2 weeks...
Thanks for the heads up,
Sean.

We did not fix this bug yet as we put priority on some other features and bugs.
I will try and push to get this fixed ASAP.

thanks.
is there a work around?

If you delete C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\My Documents\Mediasignage\*.*
it will clear the Player's cache and will play the latest Video Podcast.
Just a workaround until we fix this issue.

well cannot really write a script. it wont let me delete it unlesss i close the player

For now you can do a workaround using "kill.exe" to kill the Signage AIRPlayer, continue and delete the resources and use the batch to re launch the AIRPlayer.
This is just a work around until we fix the caching bug.
As a side note, when you use the Video Podcast, BE SURE to give the Video Podcast enough play time on the timeline and this is why, right now, the way the Podcast works is that it will download in complete while its playing on the timeline. So for example, if the Video Podcast is 40Mb and you only set the play time on the timeline of your Video Podcast to 40 seconds, the Video Podcast will never fully cache and will not work.
Now this is not the issue you are having since your Podcats is playing. Just a side note. We plan on improving this feature in our next release ( we hope ) to optimize both the caching and downloading of live Podcasts.
