if you are using the rich text component, check the "auto scale" box to see if that resolves the issue.

thanks for the reply Topangan. I created a scene tonight and in the studio it's layout looks exactly like I want but on the TV it is way off.
I posted a couple images on imgur to show what happens...

he display for my computer is the model and size as my signage display. All suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks

As far as the positioning of text when using the anchor, yes I have experienced that as well.  My guess is it is a bug.  Unfortunately, don't know of a fix at this point.  In terms of the position of components in scenes, I have not experienced that so you will have to elaborate more on exactly what is happening to you.  Typically, it has to do with the sizing and resolution of the scene, player, and the display.

I've noticed that when I'm creating and editing scenes, weird and unpredictable stuff happens. For instance, I added a rich text component to a new scene, and when I click the middle vertical anchor box (in properties), the text vanishes from the scene stage. The text still shows in the properties panel but not on the scene stage. Sometimes it reappears if I save the changes, but sometimes not. Anyone else see this happen?

Another thing is the often position of components shown in the scene stage in the studio looks nothing like what it looks like on the tv screen. I find I have to play around and constantly upload the changes to see the actual look on the tv.

Anyone else have these problems and more importantly, have suggestions to improve it?

Frustrating. It's been a couple months now.
SignagePlayer / Re: Problems with HTML5 component: not loading, not refreshing

Sorry, it won't work on the Android.  Not sure specifically what the issue is but it has something to do with the page rendering.  Should work on the Windows however there was someone else on the forum who recently posted that was having the same problem.  There are limitations with the Android devices and displaying of web pages is one of them.  If you can get a JSON feed, that would be the best option that does work with both Android and Windows devices.
SignagePlayer / Problems with HTML5 component: not loading, not refreshing

I'm struggling with the html5 component.
I want to use it to show a certain webpage, which shows the current occupancy of a meetingroom (sent from a meeting software tool)
The url is h t t p ://x.event.pxier.com/casting/room.aspx?key=f5b82989b8b875368cfb8f6298b7c165.ev.24.216

So it's a asp.net page. Which is shown correctly in the browser on my laptop.
When I show it through signageplayer, it's showing a blue background which is loaded in the beginning. But all the rest of the page is not loaded.
I have this problem both on a new windows computer and on my android 4.4.2 screens.
I thought it had to do with the Webkit being outdated. So I installed the apk of chrome manually, no solution.
Nevertheless: if the webkit was the problem, it would show correctly on the windows computer.

For the windows computer I could use nodejs or launch the chrome application directly in kiosk mode.
But for my signageplayers on android it's not an option.

Do you have any tips for me? Is html5 component using it's own html engine?

this is what I see on the android tablets. It's the initial background image which is replaced with css to another background image + content.
