« Last post by admin on November 15, 2023, 06:14:57 PM »please do a factory reset and repeat the process. after installing chrome, download the apk's - install SignPlayer first and register the player. Note that you would need a keyboard and mouse to enter the sign in. afterwhich, install SignWatchdog and then launch the app to set the permission. It may not show the different options but after reboot, sign watchdog should still launch on power on and launch the player app

« Last post by admin on November 06, 2023, 02:47:46 PM »it looks like you have installed the older version of Legacy Player (version 6.1 or 6.2) and used Sign Watchdog (which is for Sign Player)
please do a factory reset and redo the process and make sure to download the correct APK's which are as follows:

Report bugs and errors / Issue with Amazon Fire Stick - Cannot install WatchDog

I want to install SignPlayer and SignWatchDog on a new Amazon FireStick and facing issues
I turn on "ABN Debugging" in Developper Options of the stick
First I get "Downloader" on the stick then give it permission to install Apps
Then I get Google Chrome at the following link: bit.ly/2tVph6S
Then I give Google Chrome Permission to install Apps
Then from Chrome I navigate to Digital Signage Website and Download the Player and Watchdog APKs
I install the Watchdog APK First per instructions on the digital signage website
When I launch watchdog - it goes to blank screen and remains stuck on blank screen - no more progress after that, it doesnt take me to the screen where I can flip the switch to "Yes" on "Grant Usage Access" and "Display over other apps" permissions
I am stuck, I cannot deploy player on screens without Watchdog running, and since I get the blank screen upon watchdog launch, It doesnt get properly setup
I hope someone else has had the same issue and there is a known solution !

Have opened up the watchdog and restarted.
Then chrome opens and says: "checking if player already installed, please waiynote: if player already installed, lauch it manually". This never ends.
When open signplayer manually, it opens the selected scene, but with a dialogbox i anly see the text "No", but I cannot scroll the message. And there is a button OK. This stays in the middle of the screen until I click OK with mouse.
When I open up the menu in signageplayer: server status: connected Watchdog: not running.
What is the issue?

« Last post by admin on October 24, 2023, 04:12:17 PM »if you are using Sign Studio and want to use Chromecast 4 as your player, from the downloads page, click on Custom installation on other vendor devices ( ex. Chromecast, FireStick... ) - there you'd find a full instructions on how to install Sign Player
as part of the instructions, you're to install Chrome on your chromecast before installing the APK. you can find many tutorials explaining how to install Chrome on Chromecast such as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_ZDjslHmqE - only after you have installed chrome should you proceed to install Sign Player and Sign Watchdog

« Last post by topangan on October 05, 2023, 08:30:39 AM »There are a few steps you can take to narrow down the problem. Change the ethernet cable (if you are using a hardline). These can be an issue at times. Next check the internet by connecting another device to the ethernet cable to see if you get the same intermittent behavior. We had a device that was experiencing this very same issue and it turned out to be the cable in the wall.
