Open source Digital Signage / ERI

Can i fetch the ERI (used for the campaign preview URL) from the API? Or is it generated somewhere, if so how can I generate it?

Open source Digital Signage / Re: Uncaught Reference Error
« on: August 25, 2017, 06:55:02 AM »
It seems that this occurs when I try to send too much data to the media signage server.

I have created a cronjob which pulls some images from the web, uploads it to the mediacloud and puts it inside the timeline. It checks if images exists in the mediacloud so it will not be uploading the images every time to the mediacloud. Now I get this Uncaught reference Error when it has a lot of images to put inside the timeline.

Is there some sort of timeout or limitation of how much data I can send to the media signage server regarding player data?

I've tried using the StudioPro to duplicate a lot of items together and it seems to be working fine, does the StudioPro work with a different approach to the database?

« on: August 14, 2017, 07:38:52 AM »
Sometimes when "saving" data with the Studiolite API, I get a reference error of Jquery as follows:

Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery321006744079887772969_1502720989594 is not defined

When going to the submitData.ashx URL that has given the error it says: jQuery321017580881680324922_1502721340027({ ret: '', error:'String reference not set to an instance of a String.
Parameter name: s' })

Any idea when this could be happening or how it can be prevented?

Thanks in advance!

One more question, if I would have chosen for to only work with the API, do I only need to have the RedPepper Service or do I need all those imports by redpepper?

And does it only work with reactive programming or would the regular work also?

Thank you very much! Very useful feedback  :)

Open source Digital Signage / StudioWeb, continue or restart?
« on: June 07, 2017, 03:03:00 AM »

Thanks for releasing StudioWeb, it looks good, but I need some advice.

I'm an experienced Angular 2 developer and have developed with a lot of Javascript frameworks/techniques, but I do not have experience with reactive programming.

There are a lot of functionalities within the StudioWeb which I am not using. the only things that I need are the Campaigns, Scene Editor (which will be directly associated with a single timeline), Resources and Stations.

So my question is, should I restart with the API (If so, is there some documentation of the API? Maybe preventing reactive programming?) or should I start pulling out stuff that I do not want use in the WebStudio? I do not want to offer my customers this many features, I think it will be a bit overwhelming.

Hopefully someone can give me some advice!  :)

Thanks in advance,

Open source Digital Signage / JSON image quality
« on: December 02, 2016, 11:28:08 AM »

When I'm using the JSON player the quality of the images seem a bit lower than items directly added from the cloud to the timeline.

Is there any way to get the quality of the JSON up?

Thanks in advance!

Open source Digital Signage / Re: Sequences in Studio Lite

But this table is available to get with Pepper right? Can I maybe get the table name and table columns of these sequences?
Or even better a diagram of the database, that would be very useful for me.

Well yes, I know that's available, but that is scheduling on every timeline. What I want is the same in the studio, where I can make a collection of multiple timelines (a.k.a. sequences) and schedule them.

So for example you have:
Sequence1: Timeline1, Timeline2
Sequence2: Timeline2, Timeline3, Timeline4

Now I want to schedule Sequence1 and Sequence2, not every seperate timeline.

Is this possible within the StudioLite or can I access those sequences or create the table by myself?

Am I possible to create custom sequences within the StudioLite?

If it's not available yet, could I maybe get the table name and its table columns of this entity?

Only seeing campaign_timeline_sequences but that doesn't seem to be the same thing as campaign_sequences.

It seems that fields cannot be left empty, as it will return an error when trying to save data to the server. Also, if the fields are not the actual name of the column it returns an error that the column doesn't exist.

Would it be possible for me to get to know the column names of the campaign_timelines table?

So I've figured out how to retrieve te access keys for timelines. The models that are being used are incomplete and there are some fields missing on the models that are located on the webserver of Digital Signage.

I've downloaded the models myself and was able to edit the model and retrieve te proper field when checking the serialized database that is retrieved from the server when you load up.

There are some fields that are in between "timeline_duration" (the last field in the model) and "access_key" which I don't know what they are, but I was able to skip those fields.

Alright thanks! Let me know when you have anything!  :)

Yea I was looking in the object but could only find it in the "campaigns" table, which has a field "access_key". So it seemed most obvious for me that it would be the "campaign_timelines" table where the access keys were located, but it doesn't seem to have that "access_key" field. Do you know if it's in some relational table or a DB diagram which I could see or something like that, maybe push me in the right direction?  :)

Thanks for the effort so far for giving, and quick responses!
