New features and suggestions / Re: checking connection message
« on: May 20, 2015, 08:08:43 PM »
I'm having that same problem at the moment, in an enviroment without connection, the station will initialize with the cached content without problems. But, in case of bad internet connection or even Wifi without internet connection, i've experienced delays or freezing on the checking internet connection message screen. I Agree that playing the content must be a priority over internet connection. This feature may be in consequence of a background update method without any splash or loading screens as i saw as a feature request in another post. This two things make sense if you think of two distinct process, one that shows contents, and the another that takes care of connection and update, oh, but already have the watchdog or controller, but that can be accomplished with this guys taking more responsabilities, not only taking care that the player is running.

New features and suggestions / Re: Content download in background

It's a useful feature, when updating a campaign or a timeline, keep playing the contents in chache, download the new content in background and when its done, start playing that content, without splash screen if possible. I have worked with Scala and Broadsign, these two make all updates in background, its one of the key features of these two.

Ok, I sent the file

I tried to post but Git says that i do not have permission to post to master branch.

also corrected the item in language selection for european portuguese local-pt.json that is different from brazilian portuguese local-br.json in studiolite.html file and added the brazilian menu item

I see that was created a Portuguese translation, but is for European Portuguese ( local-pt.json) and the flag is for the Brazilian Portuguese (br.png). The translation i made is for the Brazilian Portuguese file local-br.json that have some diferences.

I made a translation to Brazilian Portuguese and i want to post it to be integrated into the system, i also see that must be created a item to the language in studiolite.html file. How do i contribute to the Git repository, creating a Branch with my user name in the forum, or something like that?

Sorry for the delay

I tested in Chrome after update de GIT local workcopy to version 0.9.32 and the upload was sucessfully.

Took some time, to be precise about 1.9 min for 2 FLV videos of total size about 3.5 MB, but this could be a network delay. After the upload, in the resources tab, the size and dimension of the uploaded media files was both 0kb and 0x0, but testing on the Studio Pro, the files played ok.

As a suggestion, could have a progress meter while the content is uploading

Thanks for your attention

The upload resource feature is not working for me, either in secure[dot]dynawebs[dot]net[slash]_studiolite-dist or in my local test server. I know it's in beta stage, so i'm considering that may be a bug or a misconfiguration.

Here are the details of the last requisition visible on the network console of firebug:
