Compliments of the season to all.
Is there a way to stop Users from renaming the business (on the login screen)?
As an Enterprise user, I will create user accounts. After doing so, I don't want to suddenly find that the business ID that I have setup the account with has been changed by a User. How can I stop this please?

I am looking for a software package that I can use to monitor payments by sub-users. When they're due; How much is due etc etc.
Do any of you guys know of a reasonable software product?

Firstly, thanks for your ongoing assistance.
The Signage Player for Android is apparently available to enterprise users in a white label format via an APK.
HOWEVER, the IPAd Signage Player is available ONLY from App Store, and only branded as Media Signage. Is this correct? Or is there an IPad version which is not MS branded?

Enterprise edition, branding and reselling / Editing Video Tutorials
« on: September 11, 2014, 05:19:30 PM »
I need to Edit the content of various tutorials.
I have downloaded the swf's video component from the Digitalsignage.com hot videos page (I can't post the link here).
When I try and import these into Camtasia, it (Camtasia) will not recognise those swf's.

Question: What is the best tool to use to edit the content of the tutorials? (For example: I need to cover-over where the DS logo appears; I need to remove reference to Enterprise edition etc etc).

Once completed I will want to keep the same format (with menu choice) as they are currently - so I don't want to lose that in the process...

Thanks Anoop.
I'm not sure that "value-add" is the issue. I think the issue is more a question of whether there are still  "holes" in the white label interface that make it easy for end-users to by-pass the reseller.
Are there holes? Has anyone "listed" them.
I know that there are a few posts exposing some.

I don't want to get into the add value debate because (imo) the savings by end-user from NOT paying reseller any fees (i.e. going direct to MS) can often easily address any added value reseller may deliver. Especially where there are tens/ hundreds of players involved. The issue of White-Label-Efficacy is therefore critical (IMO)

The Studio Lite appears to be quite ... light. But I will look at it. Thanks for your input.

Whilst this topic appears to be "hibernating", I'm sure there may be other resellers who have more recent experience on the efficacy of this "white label" product and whether there continues to be a problem with end-users "jumping" the reseller and going direct to MS.
Do these problems persist?
We are on the cusp of an important decision, and I certainly don't want to launch a "white label" product only to find that it aint!

Thanks guys ...

Well - Yes. Because the MS currently charge just $99 for Enterprise (unlimited licenses), and zero per player licence, and because there is no "notice period" to introduce/ increase charges, there is every possibility that at some stage they want to introduce a charge. As that is a real possibility, I suggest that re-sellers cannot freeze prices with THEIR customers for any significant period.
Do customers of re sellers typically question this inability for resellers to fix a fee ?

We are contemplating becoming a re-seller.
The Terms of Use (MediaCloud and MediaServer) appear to be extremely "loose", and can (apparently) be changed at any time to the re-seller (for example in relation to pricing etc).
Our existing customer base are often acutely aware of the dangers of this, and its possible effects on financial viability of their DS solution.

Any re-sellers out there who have received push-back when they incorporate these same "elastic" terms to THEIR customers? How do you manage the risk of suddenly being presented with a price rise (which must SURELY come at some stage when there are "enough" subscribers etc)??

Hi. This is a very interesting post. Is there anything else I should know before I become a reseller? I'm not a big one for "surprises"? Choice of white-label supplier is a big decision for us, and we cant afford a mistake. Any further info much appreciated ...
