Are there any plans to push advertising to cell phones based on proximity?  The whole mobile side of signage is starting to emerge and I was wondering if there are any plans for this?  Are there 3rd party apps that could work with this?

The thing is the campaign loop works for some time, then it goes black after a while?  The entire channel.  I had some odd timings that I fixed up and it seems to have helped a bit.  We are testing it now.  I had a campaign that was like 4:30 in lengths, and the channel was a total of 3:30 in length and then the actual content was only 3:20.  When I realigned everything the issue seems to go away.  This may just help with the issue and not resolve it.

So, I have a campaign with two timelines.  One timeline is setup with three content areas.  The other timeline has a single channel / content area.  Eventually, when the timeline with 3 channels has one of its main content areas stop displaying content.  This area plays videos (FLVs) a fair bit.  It also has a catalogue player.  This timeline goes for just over 3 minutes and has around 11 items in that channel.

I have watched this campaign loop over and over and it seems to work.  I leave it and come back and then the one main content area with the videos is black.  The other channels are just fine!  Very frustrating.

The only way to resolve this is to restart the player.  This is not an acceptable option as most of the time we can't expect the hosts to take care of these issues.

If this is an exception that is not handled properly, it would be nice if at least the player restarted itself.  We have paying customers that want their content reliably displayed.  I am running version 2.2.1088 with Air 2.5.1.17730.

I had to delete the program files\SignagePlayer folder as well....

If using TV with the display, I have found that I CAN'T use HDMI cables as there is residual sound that makes the PC audio cable to the TV not work.  Switching to VGA was my only option.

I have just been mounting behind the TV on the wall.  I have noticed that some flat wall mounts don't leave enough room for the media player.  So, it really depends on the tv wall mount.

Hey.  I tried the eee as well.  I found that memory was an issue.  I need at least 2GB of ram for anything beyond basic.  If not, things black out and don't recover until a restart.

Unfortunately, the eee can't have the memory upgraded...

I buy the ram seperately from media signage and upgrade the players myself.  Saves me 60 per box.

Good luck and dump the eee's for anything but basic.

That sounds great!  By external data source, what kind of external datasources?  Databases?  This would be very handy for a larger retail chain.  Will there be a way to share the actual catalogue across different businesses that are part of the same ad network?

Text alignment is still a must in my opinion.

Is there a way to align the text in the Catalogue Items?  it would be nice if we could center the text or have other standard alignment options.

So, it does work.  I just needed to lock an image in place.  For some reason it would keep moving off the scene...  Once locked, it seemed to work fine.

This is working better with the image being sized properly.  One last thing I need to understand is whether we can also layer other resources into the scene?  It does not seem to be working.  The catalogue resource item works fine, I just can't add additional resources.  For example. a background image or a pricing label.  Is this possible?
