New features and suggestions / Make Zones Independent of each other
« on: December 16, 2009, 07:00:36 PM »
Currently, If I'm running a loop in 1 of my zones that is 7 mins, I have to make sure that my other zone is playing media files that run for exactly 7 mins.  If it's 6 mins and 30 secs, then I would have 30 seconds of blank screen in that zone.  If it's longer, it gets cut off.  Is there a way to make each zone so that it is completely independent?  How are others managing this issue?  Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks for any feedback that I can get on this subject.

SignagePlayer / Signage Controller quitting and won't restart
« on: December 16, 2009, 06:48:18 PM »
Most of my locations are having issues with the Signage Controller stopping.  I can't get it to start back up without restarting the cpu.  When the signage controller isn't working it shows that the station is not connected to the internet in studio.  I posted this message on Dec 14th or 15th and it disappeared out of the forum.  Not sure what happened to the post but it was there as I checked back later to see if admin had responded and it was there then, now it's gone.  The subject was the same as this post.

SignagePlayer / ALL Locations showing No Connection in Studio
« on: December 15, 2009, 07:30:49 AM »
All of my locations are showing no connection in Signage Studio but all locations ARE connected to the internet.  One location that I have visited is playing in 1 zone but the other zone is showing a downloading bar.  The downloading bar isn't moving and has been at this status over an hour.  Some of my other locations that I have looked at thru LogMeIn have both zones playing fine.  I've never seen this situation where all locations are showing unconnected in the Signage Studio.

SignageStudio / Re: Some stations can't upgrade to the 1.8.165 version

I still have 2 Stations that I can't upgrade from 1.7.106.  Download error: Invalid HTTP status code:403.  I will say that both of these locations share the same internet network admin.  Could it be some setting on a wireless network that could be causing this error?

I seems to work fine now.  Thx and I will let you know if any other issues arise.

I was able to download and install (i think it finished installing) 1.8.166.  After it finished, Signage Studio (both web and desktop) show "No Connection Please try again later" before getting to the login screen so I can't see if the fix worked.

Some of my stations are getting a "Download error: Invalid HTTP status code:403" error and can't upgrade to the 1.8.165 from the 1.7.106.  I'm in no hurry on this as I'm having issues with the new 1.8.165 version with my portrait orientation monitors which was just posted on another post.  But wanted to find out if it is on my side and what I may need to do?

SignageStudio / Version 1.8.165 Issue
« on: November 27, 2009, 08:30:19 PM »
My stations that were updated to the new version 1.8.165 are playing with a huge black blank section at the bottom.  All of my locations are Portrait orientation.  The locations on the older 1.7.106 are playing fine and always have.  Even the zones are not fully visible on the screen.  It really looks like the presentation is playing in Landscape orientation on a Portrait monitor so you can only see part of the zones and there is a huge blank section at bottom.

SignagePlayer / How to Stop Presentation
« on: November 19, 2009, 01:27:18 PM »
If I am at the physical location where my monitor is and I have a keyboard and mouse connected to my PC (Media Player) which has the Airplayer on it, Are there any keyboard shortcuts that can stop the Presentation so I can work on the PC?  I have been taking around a laptop and stopping the presentation from the Studio.  If so, are there any other Keyboard Shortcuts?

SignageStudio / Re: Stations showing Ready when really playing
« on: November 12, 2009, 06:19:32 PM »
1.7.106.  That is correct, the stations status is "Ready" but it is actually Playing.  I do know there is an updated version, I just haven't had the chance to update all locations which I usually do late at night.  Could this cause the problem?  I will update tonight and see if the issue is resolved and report back.

Some of my stations are showing a status of Ready when they are actually Playing.  This is showing the same in both the Web Studio and Air Studio with a great internet connection so I know the data is current.  Any ideas?

SignageStudio / Re: Can't Save WebStudio after changing Campaign Name
« on: October 12, 2009, 12:35:02 PM »
It seems that ANOOP was correct.  When you create a new campaign, you can name it whatever you want and saving works.  I was using a preexisting campaign and was trying to rename it to "Network Campaign" and it wouldn't save it.  After changing the name of the campaign, I added resources to the timeline and changed the name of the timeline and it wouldn't save any of the work I had done.  I had to go thru a process of elimination to figure out what was causing the system to not allow me to save.  It ended up being changing a campaign name.  Just thought I would share this info incase others run into the same issue, it could save them some time and frustration and it may be an easy and quick fix on the admin side.

I have noticed that if you rename or change the name of a Campaign to something other than the default name of "Campaign", you can't save your changes in WebStudio.  Is this something that I can't change?  I'd like to name my campaigns something different than Campaign1 and Campaign2 etc.  I got an error message using IE and it wouldn't do anything using Firefox.
