interrupt mode
« on: January 18, 2011, 11:50:53 AM »
Hi!
Im working with kiosk mode with a touchscreen, but have a doubt...can someone explain me how does the interrupt mode works?

I have two timelines, one with digital signage that loops indefinetly, and one with the kiosk mode. My "wait" time is set to 15 sec. In the moment the user thouches it, seem like my waiting time starts to count, so, it doesn't matter if the user is interacting with the interactive swf, it just pops out when runs through the 15 secs. I don't find any logic on this...I thought the "waiting time" was that when no one touched the screen in 15 secs, it went back to the looping timeline.

tnx a lot!

If you connect a mouse, and move the mouse, does that reset the counter? try it...

It depends on the device you have... if it touch does not simulate mouse movement, our counter will not get reset...

Well the thing is that I'm using a professional touch screen ( newbielink:http://www.elotouch.com/Products/IDS/3200L/default.asp [nonactive]), that isn't detecting any touch as a mouse movement, as you say. So,  is there anything you can offer me to fix this? What can I do to make media signage interpret  the "touches" as a mouse?
I mean, how does the kiosk mode works with touchscreens? Or you just offer interaction directly with a mouse?
tnx!

The SignagePlayer listens to Windows mouse events, and if one occurs, it will reset the counter. See if there is a setting to send those events in your screen

so you're suggesting that is the touchscreen the one that doesn't recognizes mouse events, as mouse events? cause if that's true, i wouldn't be able to use the interactive mode, but i can...

tnx for the answer
