Screen rotation
« on: January 21, 2011, 11:59:13 AM »
I am using a Ubuntu player on an Intel  dual core with onboard Nvidia 9300 graphics card.  When I use the Nvidia driver it does not support rotation to get a vertical screen.

I have set up a 1080x1920 vertical orientation screen.

How can I use the screen orientation to play this out correctly?
Or does anyone know how to resolve the NVidia driver issue?

Thank you!

Ok. I have solved the Nvidia driver problem with a new line in /etc/X11/xorg.conf

 Option          "RandRRotation" "on"

However now I have a different problem.  The player is only using the top half of the screen and is squashing the screen into the 'square' box.  Any idea what is causing this?

Ok. I think I have fixed it.  I had screen rotation enabled but set to 0 degrees, which should be ok but doesn't seem to be.
