Android Playback Issue

I have two different android 7.1.2 boxes

One works, one doesn't.

cpu as follows

S905X - doesnt work. (mp4 will play fine from a usb stick, just not within DS app)
S905W - works

I also have older android 6 boxes with S905X - they work.

Once the video playback starts, its like massively zoomed in grey blocks. Since I can't attach pic or post links pm me and I can try that.

Just a fyi - I can totally just use another box but willing to help with any revised android app beta testing.

Amlogic S90x with Android 7 is found to be incompatible with our Version 6 of our player software.  android 6 does seem to work but it does not work correctly if you are trying to overlay a transparent image on top of a video.  note that Amlogic S90x uses Cortex A53 processor which is quite old and thus has issues with newer android os version as the gpu driver is outdated.

the version that may work though is version 5 of the player but with some varied results. if you wish to try, you can download the version 5 apk from this link: http://galaxy.signage.me/Code/Install/apk/5.0/CloudSignagePlayer.apk.

Appreciate the fast feedback and suggestion.

Since the box was just a one-off I sent it back.

I will order another s905w with android7 - seems to work just fine for my very very basic needs. (just looping a few video clips)
