Quotas
« on: January 11, 2011, 01:32:49 PM »
I would be interested in seeing a quota feature for the MediaServer/Reseller offering. Ideally, this would let you set a cap on the maximum storage space used by uploaded content per business. Things like file size upload limits would be nice too.

On the mediaServer side, this could be implemented with Windows file system quotas on the Resource directories, but I'm not sure how mediaServer would react to that.

We think the same.
It would be very useful to control the amount of disk used by each customer and to configure quotas for them.

If you can't control this, It could be a very serious problem if you have a customer that uploads very large files and reaches the maximum capacity of the reseller account (I think the maximum capacity is 10GB).

Thanks.

Although I do not have an ETA, it is part of out billing road map to give resellers the ability to cap their users on total  storage and number of screen in use ... we do plan to release it this year...

Always glad to help,
