We are switching from another digital signage system. I have removed the proprietary box and replaced it with a Mac Mini running the MediaSignage player, and now I can't get the same display resolution as I used to have. Here's the setup:
Mac mini <--DV to VGA adapter--> into a box with an HDMI and a VGA output. HDMI cable running to TV #1 (a Samsung HDTV). VGA cable splits out to two CAT5 lines that run up to about 100 feet - at the end of each is a Cat5 to VGA adapter, and VGA going into HDTVs #2 and #3. So three TVs in total.
I used to send a 1280x720 sized display that looked fine on all three TVs. Now if I set the screen resolution to 1280x720 I get a "not supported" message on TVs #2 and #3. It works on TV#1 but the 1280x720 mediasignage screen file gets badly pixelated.
The highest resolution I can get running on all three is 1024x768, but then I have to set the TVs in Standard mode so the images aren't stretched.
So the question is how do I get a decent image - the highest resolution possible - on all three TVs? I've tried Switchres but it doesn't seem to help.
Thanks in advance for any help!
