Audio for MOVs in Desktop Player?
« on: October 11, 2010, 03:55:49 PM »
I have several MOVs that I'm planning to play via the Desktop Player and wondering if it's possible to have their audio come through the speakers (of the computer)? I tested it with the Web Player but didn't hear any audio.

Thanks!

Of course, that is how it should work...
Use the SignagePlayer Desktop version, should work just fine.
Try other FLV videos and see if that works for you.

Thanks. Interestingly, I added a different MOV and it worked fine. I'm currently trying to figure out what the difference is between the working MOV and the non-working ones. The codecs appear to be the same (H.264, AAC), but for some reason, it's not working. They do work fine in QuickTime, so I'm re-exporting with various settings and testing.

I was able to get the audio working on these MOVs by exporting from FinalCutPro with AAC audio set to mono. Not sure if stereo is the cause (they were using AAC before) but it works now, so that's good enough for me.

Thanks for your help!
