Locking features from users
« on: March 08, 2016, 07:38:34 AM »
Hi, I currently run a Digital signage business using our own limited in-house developed software.
I am looking at the possibility of using this system for new and existing customers

Our customers can currently edit / change the text (not font or color) on a selection of background designed by us and i would need the ability for customers to be able to do this (preferably via a simple interface with absolutely everything they don't need, either greyed out or just not there at all.
They also need to be able to add these edited items to a single slideshow which their player(s) are already playing.

Later we may give them the ability to do more, but for now the customers having the ability to do anything else other than edit the text causes us major issues with support.

From the tutorials all i can see is far too complicated for our end users, is there any way i can create the whole thing and let them edit just the text and manage the contents of the slideshow?

Hi,

question - how to update many users at once.
Example - update Public Network Category for all users with particular Entity Number.
Is this even possible?

regards
Jed

can you clarify what you mean by "update users at once" ? are you referring to privileges?

best regards
