Webhook Animation on separate channel layer
« on: September 04, 2019, 12:06:25 PM »
i have a timeline that is playing fine, i broadcast the players to my sales-floors across the country but i would like to give them some public recognition once they make a sale. The thing about public recognition is that it should be immediate to encourage the behavior.

I would like for my normal timeline to play in the background and have another collection ect listen for a webhook/AJAX/Anything that will work. and play an animation with information from a parsed email.

I am familiar with Zapier and comfortable using it to parse/hook into software. i would really like to get this done for my company.

you may look into the following concepts described in the video tutorials:
http://www.digitalsignage.com/_html/video_tutorials.html?videoNumber=EventsTriggers
http://s3.signage.me/business1000/resources/ifttt_intro.mp4

the first video explains how you can send triggers - one would be via javascript
the second video explains how you can use web service to send triggers to the player - one service is via use of email. (email service may not be in real time)

best regards
