Alert System script support
« on: July 30, 2019, 08:41:41 AM »
We are working on a notification system. We are using the script given by Digital Signage and the developer we hired is having some troubles and he found out on 2020 this will not be working. Here is the message he sent to me (is translated because it was in spanish)

Currently DigitalSignage no longer supports the script used to send notifications since 2015, which means that the solution created by us to improve the design and display a list every time an office is opened does not work properly since this When it is published it does not allow me to load the script because it does not follow the established security parameters, currently the HTML that it sent to me works because it runs as a file and not recognized as a web page, adding to this, in early 2020 The script will no longer load in browsers or locally so the HTML will stop working, it is advisable to analyze and find a better solution.

What we basicly are doing is: We have this tv's with live tv and ads and we have someone in the front desk that will have this browser with s couple of buttons pressing them and when they press him it will display a message on the tv's. But we needed a solution in . with buttons can be activated and deactivated and also have a good look. and  doing that they discover those errors. I will share some links he shared to me about this.

I have some links to share but im not allowed to put links here. If interested let me know how i can send them.

we got the other links and information thru our ticket system and we believe the issue your developer is encountering is primarily the Cross-Domain issue.  the workaround for this is to move the libraries used on the same server as the page itself.  these libraries include jquery.min.js and sendCommand.js - these can be copied from our server and placed on your own server.  (Note: jquery can be pointed to Microsoft's CDN since you are using Azure)

best regards
