I just noticed Live Snapshot is not working in the new Desktop version.

You need to upgrade to the new 2.2 release and restart the SignageController
Snapshot is now x8 faster...

This feature only works in windows boxes. I can't get any image when query my ubuntu machines. They're running ubuntu 10.10 some and 10.04 others.

In Ubuntu the feature is not yet optimized. In Windows is it and works 100%.
Note that most of the development will focus on Android and Windows and so Linux development will continue once the Android Desktop release is out later on this year.
