Media AdNet
« on: October 23, 2017, 09:07:38 AM »
Just starting working with the Media AdNet component and have a suggestion.  The maximum length of the ads are limited to 60 seconds.  I am not sure what the reasoning is behind this however, it would be great if this limitation could be expanded.  I have customers that have videos that are longer than 60 seconds (less than 3 minutes) and I believe that from a proof of play reporting standpoint, Media AdNet is the only option so lengthening the time could be beneficial on several fronts.  If there is another way to get proof of play reporting for content greater than 60 seconds, please let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

For contents that are longer than 60 seconds, I suggest using Asset packages as they can play contents longer than 60 seconds. Then on the timeline, drag and drop the package contents from the Toolbox to the channel and set the actual duration of the content.

ADNet: Request to increase show time for each resource.
« Reply #2 on: January 24, 2019, 08:29:54 AM »
Today each resource maximum is 01:00  (60 secs).
It is impossible to increase this.

To use adnet for all our customers, we need at least 600 secs. (10 mins)
Please increase the limit.

Why is there a limit?

We too would like longer duration in ADnet than 60 secs.

I would definitely support this improvement or provide proof of play reporting some other way

we have asked our devs to look into this for consideration.  the limit was set to 60secs based on industry average for paid ads - as of this writing, there seems to be only a few users who have ads going beyond 60seconds.

if the intent is only to monitor proof of play, as mentioned by Sherwin in his earlier reply, you can go beyond 60seconds with Ad Assets and the system will be able to monitor this even it is still set to 60  in the Ad Package - reporting however will reflect the actual duration.

best regards
