Need higher resolution for videowall

I think we all agree that Digital Signage provides good resources and feedback.
However we all agree that 4096x4096 maximum resolution is keeping us away from something creative.

This is 2018 we talking about. Everyone runs on 1080p except for some situation where we need lower res.

With 1080p, we are only limited to 1920x2 = 3840

I think we all agree to pay few more bucks to have something that could support 8k Res for videowall project.

Agreed...We would also need players to accommodate more than 2 screens.  I have had several situations where the customer wanted a 3 screen menu and there is no way to connect them together currently with the ms player offerings.  With menus, having the reduced resolution in a video wall configuration (even at 1080p) makes the text jaggy.

Has anyone been successful setting up a video wall for a menu board 3 Screens at 1920x1080 a piece for a total of 5760x1080?

it seems to max out at 4632 and some change. I need the full 5760.

if the intent is to have 3 screens with all different content as most menus do, you can also arrange your screen so that you have 2 at the top and 1 at the bottom all in1920x1080 resolution in screen type and in windows settings - they can then be arranged physically in any manner you want.

if however your intent is to use the screens as one continuous division for videos for example, then you do indeed need them arranged horizontally which will at times go beyond 4096x4096 resolution which we currently cannot accommodate.

we do have plans to extend the limit to 8k but the devs are focused on addressing other issues in our existing core features thus we would like to ask for your patience.  we will have more info on this in the coming months.

I have a client that has a video wall touch screen with 5 portrait 1080x1920 screens. (5400x1080)  They need multi-user multi-touch (at least 3 users).  I'm trying to move them to use 3  computers.  play their big videos on  the middle 3 and  co-ordinate the content on the outer two screens until a user touches one of the 3 sets of screen..   Now, coordinating the screens is even a problem since triggering events when a components starts or ends was removed in rel. 6!

we will again forward this to our development group for evaluation. we cannot however promise though that this will be implemented as the devs would need to see its impact to the overall system, economic feasibility and of its usability.
