Looking for a New Windows Player or suggestions
« on: April 09, 2018, 06:25:19 AM »
We went from Android Players to Windows players because it seems easier to control (Windows Update/Antivirus/Remote Control).
We are now forced to get Windows 10 and having problems with controlling updates because of 10 Home....
Starting to make me rethink what i am using...
Any suggestions?
Currently using ASUS e410.   Hardware isn't all bad but Windows 10 Home is terrible and can not control updates like I used to...

Is this an Atom based? if so it is under powered and will create racing conditions.
Windows 10 embedded is better (what we use) as it is much lighter, if your CPU is under powered that is.

no atom IntelĀ® CeleronĀ® N3150, 1.6GHz, 4 Cores
Its not a bad option but windows 10 Home is a real pain to work with.  Would rather have Embedded but big difference in price...

We have them locked down as well but since its Windows 10 Home we are having trouble keeping windows from updating.   It really seems like it is the Feature updates that are killing us.  I think i need to set them to a "Metered Connection" in order to pass on the Feature Updates like the 1803 update that is 6gb in size.  Does anybody have any ideas on that?
