TV Tuner USB for live TV

Hi,

Pretty new to all this and I'm trying to get media server to pick up the PCTV USB adapter I have attached to my server.
I essentially want to be able to show Live TV with it switching every 10 mins to one of our adverts.

I assume i'm in the right area with using the Extapp/capture plugin and then using the custom but that's where I fail not knowing what to enter in the App name or command line.

If anyone could shine some light on this please.

So basically you need a supported tv tuner/capture device, for this to work.

Hi,

so having seen your previous message I've gone and purchased a AVer TV Tuner, it doesn't state anywhere which are supported and which are not so long as it's on an out dated OS (XP, Vista or 7).
I've received the tuner installed it onto a Windows 7 machine of which has Player installed on. The tuner works fine but having watched the tutorial video I get nothing via Player. The video's for setting TV up is not very good or helpful, it doesn't explain how it actually works after you've completed the exact same steps as on the Video.

The only time I've seen/heard anything about supported tuner cards was in the tutorial video, at this point you've already purchased an AVer TV Tuner.
The model I have is the hybrid Volar T2.

Any help on how to get this actually working would be great.
