Screen Displaying Incorrect Resolution
« on: November 08, 2017, 07:26:27 AM »
Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone could help me with an issue I've had with the signage player for a few days now.

For some reason when I upload the signage campaign to the screen in our reception area, the display seems to be stretched horizontally so that it cuts off the right 40-50% of the screen. The vertical resolution is not affected, but everything (text, pictures, videos, etc.) are far too wide for the screen.

I've checked the resolution of the TV screen and the campaign on Signage Studio (both 1920x1080), but the display on the TV screen appears to be more like close to 3000x1080. It's so distorted it's not even worth having the sign on, it looks far more professional to just have the TV off.

Does anybody have any idea of what might be causing this issue?

Thanks very much. Cheers.

Greg

What about the computer you are using? What is it and what is the default resolution?

And did this happen after the system was turned off (including the computer)? My first thought is that the computer doesn't know what resolution to display and goes to it's default setting - not the resolution of the monitor. Check and see if the computer is at a different resolution than 1920x1080. If so, you may need to get an EDID to always have the computer set to 1920x1080. I posted about this a couple of weeks here:

Hope that is it and it helps!

I have the same problem. Have checked every setting on my windows and on my android computers, as well the monitors. I checked the settings in my scenes and campains. Everything ist all right. I set up a new presentation, but didn't helt. I figuered out if I put a jpg 1920x1080 in a scene, it shows about 40 to 50% on the full screen. If I run the same jpg without scene it works.

Your scene dimensions must be wrong: recheck
