AD NET Playlists
« on: January 31, 2019, 06:25:18 AM »
Hi there... I have been using other digital signage software for a while now and slowly converting over the Media Signage... Although I think this is a powerful system what I cannot believe is that there is no easy way to play items in a playlist. Take a look at the image attached for a visual of what I am talking about.

Let's say company A is an advertiser and has 12 different ads they want to play in a rotation.... There should be some sort of playlist that can be added to the timeline and state how many ads they want played... For instance based on the attached you would select "1" to be able to play one ad in that playlist and then the next time around it would play a different ad and so on... You should also be able to shuffle them in a random order.

This seems like such a basic thing for something that the hardware is already there but yet I cannot figure something out. I have used "Packages" but it still does not solve my problem for the advertiser that has multiple ads that do not play all at once... My clients pay for each ad creation giving them the opportunity to promote different things. I just cannot believe that something like this is not here.

Or let's say you have 100 different fun facts.... You only want one of them to play in each rotation of the timeline.... Everyone has this feature and have tried numerous times through chat to express this or come up with a solution.

I am an enterprise use and ANY help to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated

Doug

since we do not see your image, can you clarify what you have on your channel.  for example, what is your timeline duration, on the channel with adnet, what is your adnet component's duration, and what other items do you have on said channel.

there is a way indeed to have adnet play an ad item only once every rotation however we also need to know what comprises one rotation.

best regards
