Dropbox Not Updating
« on: September 10, 2017, 02:08:57 PM »
I'm trying to use Dropbox this way the client can just add and delete slides as needed, but it seems like it useless and does not work properly.  :-\

I have setup Dropbox like the video shows on making a Dropbox Scene and it pulls the images .jpg's BUT

only plays some of them then starts at a random spot in the folder or does not play the slide at all and skips over them.

The slides are in the folder names this way: 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg and so on.

I noticed that if you say delete a number in the middle the screen may go Black then jump to a lower number and start playing then skip several slides

and go to the last 5 slides and then to the start of the slide show. VERY ODD.

I have tried updating the slides in Dropbox which mostly does nothing, then I will go to Stations and click the Play button to force an update to the cloud and player

but only adds new slides but still has issues playing from start to end.

I have updated the Cache through stations and no luck, and even though this would be impractical I have killed the Power to the Player with no luck.

Any help to get this working would be appreciated as my client is getting very angry with our efforts!  >:(

The images or resources as played as per UPLOAD order in DROPBOX.  The images need to be downloaded and cached by the player before it plays, if you are uploading large images and the player does not have ample time to download and cache it, it will be skipped and played on next loop.

If your images are uploaded in sequence 1.jpg,2.jpg,3.jpg,4.jpg,5.jpg   and you delete for example the 4.jpg and then reupload it again exact same file name.  The sequence that will play will be 1,2,3,5,4(assuming the dropbox component has already gotten the update) and then loop back to 1.

Also you have to make sure that your timeline does not end, before all the 5 jpegs are played or it will go back the start.  One more thing to check is to make sure that you dont have the RANDOM option ticked on the GENERAL properties of the DROPBOX component.
