Web Studio
« on: March 10, 2017, 08:22:48 AM »
I read somewhere you have developed a successor to signage studio lite called web studio. I understand the new version will be based on angular 2 and backbone and is schedule for release the summer of this year. If a person was starting from scratch would you recommend waiting for the new version or starting working with the current studio lite. Is the development schedule still on track for a summer release? Will there be a beta program for this new version?

Hello
If you are referring to working as an end user, no need to wait, as it will be backwards and forwards compatible with your studio lite / studio pro respectively.
Or, are you referring to doing custom JS development?

We are developers. We want to develop a custom white label version of studio lite. What is your recommendation for us? Is the development on track? When do you expect a beta version?

So the good news is that the underline SDK, Pepper, did not change, so you are free to use the existing StudioLite.
The other good news is that the new StudioWeb is 75% complete and we will open it to beta in 4-5 weeks.
so both options are, good!
