Using teamviewer to remotely control/update mediadroid
« on: December 21, 2016, 06:38:19 AM »
I have tried running TeamViewer to be able to remotely control my mediadroid but I cannot get it to give me Unattended Access. Does anyone know how to do this?

had the same issue...I contacted teamviewer and working with their tech support we were unable to connect to the driod device consistently.  And this was with their mobile device product.  Teamviewer said they would try to add it to their list of compliant devices but don't know how many others out there are looking for the same functionality.  I would contact them and make the request and perhaps if enough people do it, they will add it.

I switched over to Webkey.  It's the old version but they have been very helpful and its free ( I made a donation).

I also use WebKey!
It has worked flawlessly for me for 2 years as long as you ROOT your android device.

I think MediaSignage should partner with WebKey for back-end access to all Android based devices.

It's a Win-Win for both companies!!  ;)

I used Kingroot. Its a free app on the google store (in my case through Slide). Its one click and done.

Hello Martin, i tried using teamviewer with the media droid without success.  I even got on the line with teamviewer tech support and we tried several different setups and was not able to get it to work.  I would love to know how you have been able to accomplish this.  My last interaction with teamview was approximately 6 months ago...

Thanks,
Greg

Does anyone on the forum use teamviewer to manage the droid device?  I would love to have this functionality if it is possible...
Thanks,
Greg
