Signage Player Crashes
« on: November 17, 2016, 12:35:07 PM »
Every once in a while i'll get a system running signage player and it will crash. The window stating Signageplayer.exe has stopped working stays up in front of player. Checking windows event logs it says that it's faulting adobe air. Faulting Module  is adobe air.dll This happens randomly and i'm not sure what is causing it. Any idea?

this is the case when you run into a racing condition... which most likely means you are running on low end CPU.
have you tried our mediaDROID or mediaBOX?

What is the recommended processor to run signage player?

The processor in our current media players we're using is    Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3700 at 1600 MHz it's a quad core processor

it really depends on what you do in the presentation.
but at least an i3 (i5 better) is what I would recommend.

We have systems that run MP4 videos using the google drive component with MP4 ads playing on part of the left screen. Also have a ticker on the bottom of the screen. Other systems will play a split screen with small short MP4 video ads on half of the screen and scenes setup with png graphics and rich text displaying a menu on the other half of the screen, again with a ticker on the bottom.
