content duration
« on: April 09, 2010, 03:08:42 AM »
Hi,

I have some trouble with my resources beeing -1 in total time.
Sometimes it show the correct duration but if i click on it in the resource tab, it swith to -1.
Is this a bug??? by the way, im on a mac using 1.10.8

when I put a clip on the timeline it appears to be shorter then expected, I can of course make the clip longer by either click and drag in the timeline or by setting the duration in the properties.
Is there a way to keep the content not looping when im making the clip longer (correct duration) in the timeline, I want it to respect its duration. Its a nightmare to check every clips duration and set it in the properties every time.

Thanx,

Emil

Well two things...

1. If you use FLVs it should update correctly (which is sometimes not the case with MOV or MP4)
2. Click on the channel the videos are on and "CHECK OFF THE 'RESPECT CONTENT LENGTH'"
This will force the video (all videos on channel) to play to END.

Regards,

Eddie.

I´m using flv files and many of them do not show the right Total time in the resources list.
Instead the systems shows a -1.
When you use one of these files draging them to a channel, the systema takes a duration of only 5 seconds.
I think there is a problem of the system that doesn´t take the duration of the uploaded files.
Can you fix this problem?

Some Video files have MetaTags and some do not...
If you use a standard FLV with MetaTags, it will register the video info...
