Key Entry Errors In Web Interface
« on: October 20, 2015, 09:37:41 AM »
I've attached a link to a video that showcases a strange behavior when entering text via the studiolite web interface in which keys that are entered will disappear throughout the typing process (observable in the video). There seems to be another related key entry behavior in which after a user types a sentence into the label text box and places the cursor back toward the beginning of the sentence to correct or change something - a few of the keystrokes will appear where the cursor has been placed, but at some point half of the new characters will appear at the end of the sentence in an arbitrary fashion (not shown in this video, but likely related)

This occurs on multiple platforms and devices including:
MAC in Safari and Chrome
Android in Browser, Internet, & Chrome
IOS in Safari & Chrome

Here is the video: PLEASE SKIP TO 3:45 to observe the disappearing character issue while entering the price of "$4.79" to a menu.

we are going to replace the text entry with a new widget that will apply changes once you click a
  • check, so this will be fixed as well, tx for reporting.

Any time frame on this, because it's a pretty important bug.

Also can we get a hexcode entry box for the color chooser? It's really difficult to get the exact hue of the color to match across multiple items when you just have to 'eyeball it'.

If you have to prioritize between the two please focus on the Key entry errors. It's a nerve rattling nightmare. :(

Thanks for your response! :)
