Feature "Not fixed players length" does´t work
« on: February 25, 2010, 03:14:42 PM »
Regardless of you active or desactive the field "fixed players length", the systmes plays the players during the in each of them indicated time.
I´m using player version 1.9.132 with Air version 1.5.3.9130 and signage studio 1.9.132.
I need the feature to start an application.
Thanks. Diego

So when checked OFF the Player does NOT play the video until the end of it?
Please confirm!

Yes, that´s right!
The feature should show each video on this channel until the end. And that´s not working.

I found out that it does work when the Video / MRSS is directly on the timeline but DOES NOT work when the Video / MRSS is inside a Scene that's on the timeline.

Is that what you see?

The problem I see is using the videos directly on the timeline.
Please analize following case:
1) On the same channel put the videos Intro1, Intro2 and Intro3 (3 videos from MediaSignage), with a duration of 5 seconds that is the default duration.
2) Select the "fixed players legth" Box, activating this feature.
The result is that Intro1 an Intro2 will be shown during 5 sec, but Intro 3 is showed til it´s end.
So the Intro 3 video is not showed only for 5 sec as setted.

3) Deactivate the "fixed players legth" Box and show the result again.
The result is the same.
Intro1 and Intro 2 should be shown untill they end.
So, this feature is NOT WORKING.

Regards, Diego

Ok I tested and the reason it's not working for you is because you are using SWFs and not Videos.
As I said, the feature only works for Videos and MRSS and, SWFs do not have a set lengthto them as they can auto repeat since you are dealing with a dynamic timeline.
