I wanna start by thanking Digital Signage.com for the amazing service.
I have a suggestion for a good feature and I'm gonna call it "Advanced Collection"
Here is what it is:
Say you have 30 screens you are managing. They all play/share the same "Monthly Updated Ads" and "Weekly Updated Ads", but the one thing you don't share is the "Store Specific Ads".
To make things smooth and easy to update, we created 3 collections which are "Monthly Updated Ads","Weekly Updated Ads" and "Store Specific Ads". That way we only update the collections and all stations will pickup the update.
The problem with the current collection component is that it deals with each collection on its own. That means, it loads "Monthly Updated Ads" collection and plays all files inside it then it goes to the next one, and so on. This way, you will lose the ability to mix files from collections.
My suggestion is the following: add a feature to allow the collection component to populate a timeline that takes files from all collections and plays them randomly.
For example:
Collection A (1,2,3,4,5)
Collection B (1,2,3,4,5)
Collection C (1,2,3,4,5)
Timeline will mix play as follows:
Order play
A1,B1,C1,A2,B2,C2,A3,B3,C3,A4,B4,C4,A5,B5,C5
Random Play
A4,B2,C5,A5,B4,C2,A3,B1,C4,A1,B3,C3,A2,B5,C1
It would be amazing If you can add this feature. Giving the fact that this feature is available somewhere else
